Situated in the enchanting setting of a converted church, Not Just Sundaes Community Cafe is a gem nestled in Wareham that offers a refreshing twist on the traditional café experience. This charming eatery is more than just a stop for coffee or a quick bite; it's a philanthropic hub that embodies the spirit of community.

As soon as you step through the old wooden doors, you're embraced by a cozy ambiance, enhanced by the comforting décor that pays homage to its historic roots. Spacious sofas invite you to linger, while the friendly staff greet you with genuine smiles, eager to ensure your visit is nothing short of delightful. The atmosphere here is relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for friends to catch up, families to unwind, or professionals to meet over a cup of coffee.

The menu boasts a delectable array of offerings, including their renowned Salt Pig breakfast, which is a favorite among regulars for its hearty, wholesome ingredients that promise to kick-start your day on a high note. But what truly sets Not Just Sundaes apart is its commitment to social responsibility with the innovative "pass it on" kitty – a unique initiative where patrons can add the cost of a drink or soup to their bill, allowing those in need to enjoy a warm beverage or meal at no cost. This heartfelt concept not only elevates the café's mission but also invites you to contribute to the community's wellbeing, creating a ripple of kindness throughout the town.

The sweet treats here are nothing short of spectacular. From the homemade cakes that are so soft and flavorful they might just melt in your mouth, to the locally praised carrot cake – each bite whispers comfort and nostalgia. One regular, Simon Wright, aptly described his experience, saying, "Amazing carrot cake" in a review that has become reflective of many guests' experiences.

And if you're in the mood for something chilled, prepare to be dazzled by the ice cream that one customer proclaimed was the best in Dorset! Martin Rowe, who couldn't contain his excitement, described his discovery of this splendid café as a moment where "my face just melted off" – a testament to the quality and taste awaiting you here.

While enjoying your meal or snack, take a moment to appreciate the community-focused ethos that flows through every corner. The café is child-friendly, making it a fabulous place for families to enjoy time together while engaging in meaningful conversations about giving back.

Whether you’re just passing through or a local looking for your new favorite hangout, Not Just Sundaes Community Cafe is a must-visit. With its delicious offerings, a heartwarming concept promoting kindness, and an atmosphere that feels like an embrace, this café is more than just about what you consume – it’s about the experience and the community you help to foster with each visit.

Lovely place with very friendly staff. Converted old church building in very cozy decor. Staff couldn't do enough for us and the cakes were home made, delicious. Great idea if a pass it on kitty. Basically as an option you can add the cost of a drink or soup to your bill. Then if a person in need comes in they can ask for a drink for free. Very socially minded concept. But dont get me wrong it was not full of down and out at all. Just a beautiful idea in beautiful setting.

Great service. We love the Salt Pig breakfast. We (Purnet) hire the place once a fortnight for a business networking meeting. The Salt Pig brings us breakfast. It's a great venue for this.

Great place for coffee and a panini. We were out walking in Wareham, by the quay, and came across this cafe. Very friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable. If I lived nearby it would be a regular stop. Keep up the good work.

What just happened?? My face just melted off, that's what! What a superb little cafe. The best ice cream I've had in Dorset (and I've been many times!) great service and beautiful setting. Excellent.
